Kenny is our kind of cinephile he not only walks the walk, he lives the life. He’s the Halloween fan who built and lives in a replica of the Myers House, as covered in FANGORIA v2, #1. Another version had the slasher break through a nurse's station. He buries an ax into the doctor's back and the ending would freeze-frame on the killer's eyes. In one scene, a doctor comes in to see Kinsey when the killer appears behind him. Maffei revealed the original ending had both him and Dollface drive off together, but this changed when Dollface was the first of the trio to die.Īnother two Strangers: Prey At Night endings had Man in the Mask turned up at the hospital. The lights start to go out one by one and the sound of an ax being dragged is heard, and then the lights go out completely as Kinsey screams. After the knock is heard, the door opens by itself to reveal an empty hallway. The only alternate ending available to view online for The Strangers: Prey At Night continues from the current one. Shortly after the sequel's release a still image circulated of Man in the Mask standing behind an oblivious doctor, and in a Bloody Disgusting interview with Damian Maffei - the actor who played the killer - he revealed several alternate endings were shot. Pinup (Lea Enslin), Dollface (Emma Bellomy), and Man in the Mask (Damian Maffei) all appear pretty dead by the time the end credits roll, though heroine Kinsey is startled at the end by a knock at the door - the Strangers signature move. One surprising element about The Strangers: Prey At Night is that it appears to definitively kill off its slasher trio. Related: Every Resident Evil Reboot Character (& What They Look Like in Games) The movie was a success, though some viewers were disappointed with its change in tone. It also took some clear John Carpenter influence from the likes of Christine. This 2018 sequel had no real links to the original beyond its title slasher characters, and instead of the more grounded feel of the original, Prey At Night felt more like a 1980s slasher. It was unexpectedly revived years later as The Strangers: Prey At Night, with Johannes Roberts ( Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City) helming.
